The arc was built in 1888 for the Universal Exposition as the main entrance of the exposition. The brickwork in mudejar style makes the arc stand out. Port Vell: One of the major tourist attractions of Barelona, Port Vells is an entertainment center and a yatch-basin. This old obsolete harbor was turned into an entertainment center in an urban renewal project. This area gives the city of Barcelona easy access to sea. A pedestrian street was build from Barceloneta neighborhood to Columbus monument and the coastal road was moved underground. The wooden bridge connects the Rambla to the Maremagnum that houses many theaters, restaurants, bars, cinemas and shops.
